Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: October 29, 2025

This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, proration, and billing adjustments work for offerings made via thesimonshi.com (the “Site”), including coaching subscriptions and digital products (the “Offerings”). By purchasing any Offering, you agree to this policy.

1. Scope & Who We Are

The Site and Offerings are owned and operated by Simon Shi (“we,” “our,” “us”). This policy applies to all purchases made on the Site or via links we provide to our payment processors (e.g., Stripe or PayPal).

2. Key Definitions

  • “Subscription”: A recurring, auto-renewing coaching plan billed monthly unless canceled in advance.
  • “Digital products”: Non-tangible items like downloadable plans, templates, PDFs, video modules, or access links.
  • “Billing date”: The calendar day your subscription renews each month.

3. Coaching Subscriptions (Monthly)

  • Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed in advance for each monthly term.
  • Non-Refundable Once Term Starts: Due to the personalized nature of coaching, fees are non-refundable after a term begins.
  • Cancel for Next Month: You can cancel anytime to stop future renewals. To avoid the next charge, provide at least 7 days’ notice before your billing date.
  • Proration: We do not typically prorate partial months already in progress. If we do so as a courtesy, it will be case-by-case.
  • Coach Availability: We outline response times and touchpoints in your plan; delays caused by your late responses do not qualify for refunds.

4. Free Trials & Intro Offers

  • Trials: If a trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the posted rate unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Intro Offers: Discounted first month or similar promos renew at the regular price unless canceled in time.

5. One-Time Digital Products

  • All Sales Final: Digital products are non-refundable once delivered or access is granted.
  • Defective/Access Issues: If a file is corrupted or a link is broken, email us and we’ll replace access promptly.
  • EU/UK Consumers: If you are in the EU/UK and request immediate access, you acknowledge you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once delivery starts.
  • Unauthorized Use: Sharing or reselling digital products voids any goodwill fixes and may result in account revocation.

6. Bundles, Promotions & Coupon Codes

  • Bundles: Refunding part of a bundle is not offered unless required by law; bundles are priced as a single package.
  • Coupons/Discounts: Promotional pricing cannot be applied retroactively and has no cash value.
  • Limited-Time Sales: Prices during promotions are valid only for the stated window.

7. Sessions, No-Shows & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling: Please provide 24 hours’ notice to reschedule 1:1 calls or reviews (where applicable).
  • No-Shows/Late Cancellations: May be forfeited for that period and are not refundable.

8. Physical Goods (If Offered)

We primarily sell coaching and digital products. If we later sell physical goods, the default policy is:

  • Returns Window: 14 days from delivery for unused items in original packaging (customer pays return shipping unless defective).
  • Non-Returnable: Final-sale items, consumables, or used gear (unless defective on arrival).
  • Defects/Damage: Report within 7 days of delivery with photos; we’ll repair, replace, or refund per our assessment.

9. Billing, Renewals, Proration & Price Changes

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled.
  • Price Changes: We may update pricing with prior notice. New prices take effect on your next renewal unless stated otherwise.
  • Proration: Mid-cycle upgrades may be prorated at our discretion; mid-cycle downgrades usually take effect at next renewal.
  • Payment Processors: We use reputable processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal). We do not store full card numbers.

10. Currency, Taxes & Fees

  • Prices are shown in U.S. Dollars unless noted. Your bank may charge FX or international fees.
  • Applicable sales/VAT/GST taxes may be added based on your billing address and local rules.

11. Disputes, Chargebacks & Fraud

If you see an unexpected charge, please contact us first. We can usually resolve issues quickly without needing a chargeback.
  • Contact First: Email simonshicoaching@gmail.com with your order details.
  • Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback while an issue is under active review may delay resolution. We reserve the right to provide evidence of usage/delivery.
  • Fraud/Abuse: Suspected fraud, credential sharing, or reselling may lead to immediate termination without refund.

12. Pauses, Injury/Medical & Force Majeure

  • Pauses: We may approve short pauses for injury, illness, or travel if requested before renewal; extensions are discretionary.
  • Medical: We encourage medical clearance for training. We cannot refund completed coaching time due to later medical issues, but we’ll work on a reasonable plan going forward.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays/failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., outages, disasters). We will make good-faith efforts to resume service.

13. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

  • Email simonshicoaching@gmail.com from the address used at purchase.
  • Include: full name, order/transaction ID, product/plan, purchase date, and a brief reason. Attach screenshots if relevant.
  • For subscription cancellations, tell us you want to cancel future renewals and include your next billing date if you know it.

14. Refund Method & Processing Times

  • Method: Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise.
  • Timing: Once processed on our side, banks/payment processors typically take 5–10 business days to post funds (varies by issuer and country).
  • Proof: We can provide a processor confirmation on request.

15. Your Statutory Rights (U.S., EU/UK & Others)

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If your local law requires a different outcome, we will comply with that law. For EU/UK consumers: digital content delivered immediately generally waives the 14-day withdrawal right once access begins.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The Effective Date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
